School Transport Plan
In 2013, we started with the question: What if an active shooter incident occurs on a bus, or someone on board is believed to have a weapon? React Solutions had been working with law enforcement, fire departments, school administrations, staff, teacher and food service groups, but transportation was not receiving training. Understanding transportation is often the first to see children prior to the start of school,we built a program specifically designed to address these issues. Since the inception of this course, React Solutions has delivered the curriculum to school transportation departments throughout Washington State. This course dissects the active shooter incident and provides a plan for school transportation departments, to mitigate and potentially prevent an active shooter incident. The school Transport Plan is 3 hours, 3 ½ hours with questions.
Citizen Safety & Awareness
"Citizen Safety & Awareness" was released in 2015. This course includes components of the "Executive Active Shooter Awareness" course, but with a focus on general safety and awareness. This course will provide valuable information and tips; if taken hostage, what pre-attack indicators (nonverbal cues that someone may be preparing to attack you) look like, personal awareness, and verbal de-escalation tactics to include do's and don'ts. This course is perfect to help people regain their verbal skills and will assist anyone who works with people in any customer service industry. Citizen Safety & Awareness is 3 ½, to 4 hours with questions.
Executive Active Shooter
Our "Executive Active Shooter Awareness" course was the first course React Solutions developed. The course was born after realizing police and fire are not typically the first responders to an active shooter incident. Those present at the time are the “true” first responders, and must be trained how to react. While lock down has its place, it is not the only answer. This course focuses on the history, planning for, and response to an active shooter incident whether it occurs at a school, a business, or in any location where this horrific incident might occur. This course is very much directed to helping people and their families to respond if they find themselves in a situation like those faced by so many in Paris, France. This course is about 2 hours long, 2 1/2 hours with questions.
"Wow where do I begin? Thank you both for bringing home a message on a tough subject". "You were informative and engaging". "of the 130 evaluation 1-5 (5 the best) 110-5's - 16-4's and... 1-6, 1-10, 1-20!!" Comments were, "thank you", "bring them back", "one of the best sessions I have attended” "You make people think".
"Your program was engaging, informative, real, and RELEVANT." "Really the highlight of the entire two days for me." "Thank you both."

Life Saving Intervention
The goal at React Solutions is to save lives. Our professional staff recognized a gap exists with the level of training citizens receive related to first aid, therefore we developed Life Saving Intervention (LSI). Although basic first aid is important and necessary, we at React Solutions wish to close the gap by providing the necessary skills to sustain life in the treatment of penetrating trauma. Trauma care outside an operating room has improved exponentially in the previous 15 years with medical professionals advocating the use of tourniquets, wound packing, and bandaging. React Solutions knows first-hand the treatment of penetrating trauma can be mitigated with inexpensive individually carried equipment.
Released in 2016 React Solutions has developed the Life Saving Intervention course (LSI) based on the principles taught by Tactical Emergency Casualty Care. This civilian based course does not replace basic first aid and CPR, instead it bridges the gap between basic first aid, and the treatment of life threatening, penetrating trauma. LSI is a very hands-on course and can be customized from 2 to 4 hours depending on needs. This "must have" training can be incorporated and customized into any other React Solutions course. (Prior to attending this course attendees should be current in basic First Aid & CPR, although it is not a requirement to attend.)

Safety Assessment
React Solutions is proud to announce a new service to our school and business community, “Safety Assessment.” A comprehensive safety assessment is the catalyst for having an integrated and layered security plan for your facility; while the ultimate objective is to find the most effective mitigation measures to achieve a desired level of protection against an attack. All too often these assessments are overly complicated, ending up in a three ring binder on a shelf with fixes too expensive or overwhelming to implement.
At React Solutions we keep the assessment simple with no complicated matrix to follow; no guess work, just simple yes or no questions. We simply put, our focus on safety and security. Ideally an entity would have an assessment, followed by one of React Solutions safety courses conducted with the inclusion of all staff members. A practical written assessment will be provided at the conclusion of the safety assessment outlining basic principles and techniques to aid in making your facility safer.
